Modeling of Porous Structures

Some common examples of porous structures from the field of filtration and adsorption are depicted below. The models can be generated or imported for example from tomography data with DNSlab.

For the basic characterization of the porous structure, at first the porosity, solid volume fraction, surface, pore size distribution and, corresponding to a glass bead test, the maximal diameter of a sphere which can be led through the pore structure can be determined with DNSlab.
